Film submissions for JIFF 2026 Now Open (from 15th February 2025)

Films eligible for submission must be:
Shorts (under 45 minutes): Produced between January 2023 and December 2025.
Feature-length films (over 45 minutes): Produced between January 2024 and December 2025.
Films in post-production are also accepted.

PROCESS OF SUBMITTING THE FILM: You can choose any one option for film/screenplay etc. submission:-

1. Submit your film online through Filmdias, Filmfreeeway, WFCN, Clickforfestival, Festhome, Sfilmmaker, etc. (Links provided below).

2. Fill out the entry form (sign the last page, scan/take a photo, and attach it to your email). Include an online screener link with a password and all required details as per the form. Pay the submission fee online and email the payment proof to myjiffindia@gmail.com.

3. Send your film along with the completed entry form, a hard disk or 2 DVDs, and a cheque/DD for the submission fee to the festival office.


JIFF accepts YouTube, Vimeo, WeTransfer, and Google Drive links for screener/pre-selection/preview.


• Films released on YouTube are accepted/eligible.


JIFF accepts both released (between January of the previous year and December of the current year) and unreleased feature fiction and non-fiction films.



Methods of Paying the Fee: : You can transfer the entry fee to the account provided on the first page of the submission form (available for download from the left table or at the bottom of this page), or deposit the fee in cash to the JIFF account. Once done, kindly send the deposit/transfer proof (including transfer date, location, account name, and bank name) for verification to jiffsubmission@gmail.com.

2. HONORARY ASIA - for Asian feature fiction films, who produced/directed minimum 5 films in their respective career

7. JIFF VILLAGE (INTERNATIONAL)- JIFF village is the new heart of the festival. The Village International will offer a meeting and film screenings place for national, regional and international film schools from all over the world. Films nominated at Oscar 2026 (Academy Awards, USA) from different countries as official entry and official nominations through various ways, will be directly part of the competition in JIFF 2026. The awards will be separate for these categories and will be finalized by international jury members (World cinema leaders). Few top films will be screened in JIFF 2026 for global audience. Other rules will be the same as film submission in JIFF 2026.

Less than 45 minutes. Released/Not Released Yet/Produced between last year January to Current year December are eligible for submission. (Films, which are in post production are also accepted.)

Under 30 minutes

Who can submit for Best Asian, European & American Film awards? (NEW)

Any feature film (Above 45 minutes) producer, director from Asia, America & Europe.

Who can submit for Music/Song/Album/Dialogue? (NEW)

Any Musician, singer, dialogue writer or related company/studio can submit. Submission for live performance is also accepted.



Nomination Notification Dates:

First List: November 5
Second List: December 5
Third and Final List: December 21


Final Nomination Notification Date: 21 December

Festival Programme will be live on website: 21 December



Submission Withdrawal After Nominations:
Once the nominations are announced, there are no specific rules for withdrawal. The decision will be entirely at the discretion of the organizing committee. However, any withdrawal after the final nominations will incur a penalty of 20 times the submission fee.
