Jaipur, November 5, 2024: The organizing committee of the 17th Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF), set to be held under the Cinematic Olympic theme, has released the first list of nominated films. JIFF founder and director Hanu Roj stated that this year's festival will emerge as a special attraction not only for India but for the global cinema community. JIFF is the world's largest competitive film festival for fiction films, showcasing films that no other festival screens. Two more lists of nominated films will be released later. This year, audiences in Jaipur will have the opportunity to watch the finest films from India and around the world.
A jury comprising 30 members from 12 countries has selected 170 films from 41 countries in 9 categories for the first list after three months of watching films from 77 countries, totaling 1,651 entries. Last year, 157 films from 29 countries were included.
JIFF spokesperson Rajendra Boda shared that the selected films for competition across 9 categories include 36 feature fiction films, 12 documentary feature films, 87 short fiction films, 13 short documentary films, 16 short animated films, 1 mobile film, 1 web series, 3 songs, 1 dialogue and 6 student films.
The nominated films include those that have already created a buzz on the screen as well as upcoming films that are expected to make a splash. A total of 36 feature films from 14 countries will be showcased to the audience on the big screen.
JIFF Spokes Person Rajendra Bora informed that in third list out of selected films under 6 categories include 10 Feature Fiction Films | 7 Documentaries Feature Films | 10 Short Fiction Films | 5 Short Documentary Films | 1 Web Series and 3 Songs.
Jaipur, December 27, 2024: The 17th edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) has once again elevated Rajasthani cinema to new heights. This year, 21 films from Rajasthan have been nominated, showcasing the state's rich cultural heritage and cinematic talent. These include 9 short fictions, 7 feature fictions, 2 mobile short films, 2 musical albums, and 1 animation film.
Jaipur, 01 January 2025: The 17th edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) will be held from 17th January 2025 to 21st January in Jaipur. This year, "Top Navratna (9) Hindi Films and the Names of 9 Iconic Indian Filmmakers have been included in JIFF 2025," featuring screenings of six classic feature fiction films, recognized as some of the best 9 in Indian cinema's history. "The selection of these 9 iconic films and 9 iconic filmmakers is based on three months of research and the recommendations of a committee." "The final selection has been made by JIFF's founder, Hanu Roj."

1. Devdas (1936): Directed by P.C. Barua, starring K.L. Saigal, Jamuna Barua, and Rajkumari Sultana.
2. Neecha Nagar (1946): A social issues-based film by Chetan Anand, starring Rafiq Anwar, Uma Anand, and Kamini Kaushal.
3. Mother India (1957): Mehboob Khan's classic starring Nargis and Sunil Dutt.
4. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995): A blockbuster by Aditya Chopra, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
5. Rang De Basanti (2006): A motivational film by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
6. Salaam Bombay (1988): Mira Nair's film based on the struggles of children.
