MESSAGE FROM FOUNDER DIRECTOR
#LiveAnywhere #BeSafee

New technology and discoveries turned cinema digital. And now Covid-19 has pushed the cinema out of theatres to OTT. The nature of human beings changes every second, and we welcome these changes. First we regret the losing the old fun. But soon start enjoying the change that is inevitable. This is true for Cinema too. We have started enjoying the movies on our desktops and even on Mobile handsets. Since Covid-19 has restricted our outings, we have turned towards new technological advancements that have come to our aid. We have started enjoying our movies on new platforms that has become normal now.

We should not underestimate the importance of new alternatives, and keep moving with changing circumstances and times. This is the philosophy of JIFF.

More than 2100 films were received from more than 85 countries for the JIFF 2021, of which 266 films from 44 countries are being screened online at the festival this year. All films will be screened on UFO's Plexigo.

In this difficult pandemic time, the selection committee and jury members worked without any incentive for months tirelessly selecting films. Myself and JIFF organizing committee are thankful to all of them for their dedicated cooperation.

After the screening of films from 15th to 19th January, 2021, the award ceremony is proposed to be held later in the last week of March or in first week of April in physical form in Jaipur. We will try to organize some other activities too during the award ceremony.

This Year’s JIFF is dedicated to all those great filmmakers, producers, directors, actors and other people from the film industry who left us to heavenly abode during the year. JIFF 2021 is our humble tribute to them.

Thank you!
