SUBMISSION GUIDELINES/GENERAL INFORMATION

  • There is no restriction of the production year in the process of film submission/s.
  • There is a special facility for screening of those films (Feature, Short, Documentary, Animation, Music, and Video Music) that have not been released yet and released in 2016 and 2017 (World Premier).
  • JIFF will accept and screen only the productions of the last two years. But you can submit any film/ project in The Merchant-JIFF and screen in the merchant, according to that you can book the time slot. And book the booth or Standee/ poster space for publicity of your project/film.
  • The Merchant-JIFF-selected/screened film/projects of the last year will not be accepted.
  • Fill up the entry form. It can be simply downloaded from our website – www.jiffindia.org
  • The submission can be done during the tenure between July to 10 December, 2017

  • If your film is/was selected/nominated/submitted films in/for JIFF this year, then you are eligible for TM11 & TM22 submissions
  • If your film is/was not submitted in/for JIFF this year, then you are eligible for TM33 & TM44 submissions

THEATRES TO SCREEN YOUR FILM
The Merchant offers screening rooms located either in the The Merchant or JIFF and where you can benefit from the stands and buyers nearby or located in four cinemas in town that have larger screening rooms at your disposal. Screenings at the Merchant: Important deadlines:-
  • The Merchant has equipped 2 to 6 screening rooms with digital projectors. These rooms allow you to screen your film on DVD (The Merchant & JIFF).
  • Screening reservations are to be made on www.jiffindia.org from early July or August. 
  • Films produced prior to 2015-2016 are eligible and films that were already screened in the previous film market (The Merchant) are not eligible. But you can submit any film/project in The Merchant-JIFF and screen in The Merchant, according to that you can book the time slot at The Merchant & JIFF venue and book the booth/standee/poster space for publicity of your project/film/company)
  • Requests are processed in the order in which they are received and an order form is sent with suggested slots. The screenings will only be confirmed upon receipt of this signed order form together with the payment.

Note: The fee of 10 delegates for one hour booking and 25 delegates for 2:00 hours along with one time screening fee of one film will be complementary this time. It will be applicable in ‘The Merchant’- JIFF 2018. If you wish to screen your film on a different screen (on any other film or project on an exclusive basis) then you can proceed with advance booking of the time slot. The screening of all the project films will be done at Film Market or JIFF venue. See the booking details below:
  • Facilities available – 2-6 auditoriums, (not just like auditorium, its prepared at The Merchant venue) seating capacity-40 to 80 seats
  • Book the auditorium for the separate/exclusive screening of your film/project
  • The booking process will be done on the first come and first serve basis
  • The booking date will be from the 7-9 January 2018. Timing will be 10.00 AM to 8.00 PM
