Jaipur, 1 January 2024: The Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) 2024 organizing committee is pleased to announce the 3rd list of nominated films for the festival. For third list, festival office received 257 films from 15 countries. After careful consideration, jury members have selected 36 films from 5 countries for the festival.


To date, no film festival in the world has included more full-length feature fiction films than JIFF. Hanu Roj said that in the first list released in November for the JIFF 2024, 157 films from 29 countries were selected and in the second list released in December, 62 films from 14 countries were selected. So far, out of 2271 films received from 62 countries, 255 films from 37 countries have been nominated including third list. The fourth list of nominated films and the festival program will be released on January 21, 2024.


JIFF Spokes Person Rajendra Bora informed that in third list out of selected films under 6 categories include 10 Feature Fiction Films | 7 Documentaries Feature Films | 10 Short Fiction Films | 5 Short Documentary Films | 1 Web Series and 3 Songs.

Jaipur, 5 November 2023: | The organizers of Jaipur International Film Festival - JIFF, which has become a favorite film festival of the world film community, has released the first list of nominated films on Sunday.

For 16th Jaipur International Film Festival JIFF 2024 ~ 1507 film submissions from 56 countries are received. JIFF organizing committee has released the 1st list of nominated films for 9 categories for the festival. 157 films from 29 countries have got a place in this list. 19 jury members from 12 countries have selected these films.

JIFF spokes Person Rajendra Bora informed that out of selected films under 9 categories include 36 Feature Fiction Films | 9 Documentaries Feature Films | 1 Animation Feature Film | 85 Short Fiction Films | 6 Short Documentary Films | 10 Short Animation Films | 7 Mobile Films | 2 Web Series | 1 Songs including 22 Student Films.

Jaipur: 11 Novemebr 22 - Beginning on 15th November, the TORCH CAMPAIGN will continue for 3 months, in 12 cities of the country.

12 full-length films of various Indian languages of ‘JIFF INDIAN PANORAMA’ to be included in TORCH CAMPAIGN.

Film’s screening to continue from 6th to 10th January in Jaipur, 12 Awards to be given.

This JIFF INDIAN PANORAMA campaign is given the name of ‘TORCH CAMPAIGN’ by JIFF, festival founder–director Hanu Roj tells. A number of approximately one thousand producers, directors, actors, actresses, and film professionals are going to participate in this exclusively designed campaign. On 15th November, TORCH CAMPAIGN will be launched in Vivanta Taj Hotel [Guwahati, Assam], where Assamese filmmakers would grace this special occasion with their esteemed presence. Chief Guests of the Launching Ceremony would be Assam’s Chief Minister’s wife, noted filmmaker and entrepreneur Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, and Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Guwahati’s Joint Commissioner of police. Mahanta is a documentary filmmaker himself.

Through displaying Film trailers and ground promotion, these films will be promoted during the Launching Ceremony. With the dialogue “Indian Cinema: Today and Tomorrow”, regional films of that state [which are nominated in JIFF] would be discussed. These films would be screened in Jaipur, in the month of January, during the 15th edition of Jaipur International Film Festival and awards would be declared simultaneously.

After launching in Guwahati on 15th November, this TORCH CAMPAIGN will be organized in Kolkata [18th November], Chennai [26th November], Mumbai [1st December], Chandigarh [16th December], Rohtak [17th December], and Jodhpur [26th December]. Next to the event in Jodhpur, the torch will be handed over to the filmmakers of Delhi, who will bring it to Jaipur on 5th January.

In KOLKATA, the Second event of the TORCH CAMPAIGN will be organized at the Hindusthan International hotel, where famous actress Rituparna Sengupta and renowned filmmaker Goutam Ghose will be chief guests.

In CHENNAI, the third event of the TORCH CAMPAIGN will take place at Prasad Preview Theatre of Prasad Labs, where well-known music composer, singer, and director Gangai Amaran would be the Chief Guest.

In MUMBAI, the fourth event of the TORCH CAMPAIGN will be organized at The Club, Mumbai, where many film stars will be present.

Jaipur 28.10.22 | 15th edition of Jaipur International Film Festival-JIFF is going to kick off from 6th to 10th January 2023. JIFF is going to be absolutely special this time, as 12 full-length films made in various Indian languages of Indian Panorama are chosen to be screened in the festival.
The selected films include the Malayalam film The One and The Many within by Chidambara Palaniappan L, the Bengali film #Homecoming by Soumyajit Majumdar, the Tamil film Visithiran by M Padmakumar, the Tamil film Gargi by Gautham Ramachandran, Marathi film Taath Kana by Girish Mohite, Tamil, Telugu film Shadow of the Night by Radhakrishnan Parthiban, Malayalam film Nest of Sorrows by Joshy Mathew, Tamil film Maamanithan [The Great Man] by Seenu Ramasamy, Tamil film Mugizh by Kartick Swaminathan, Malayalam film Avanovilona By Sherry and Deepesh T and Assamese film Bokul Phulor Dore by Sanjeev Hazarika. A film will be announced.

Noted five filmmakers to choose awards for 12 films

The prestigious jury includes Jim Rygiel, who has won 3 Academy Awards [Oscars] and 3 BAFTAs for Best Visual Effects for the very popular film THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY. Stephen Castor from Hollywood is on the Jury, who has partnered in business with Jim Rygiel, three-time Oscar winner for Best Visual Effects for THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY. Marc Baschet is a big producer and cinematographer, known for No Man's Land [2001, Oscar-winning film], Before the Rain [1994] and The Adopted Son [1998] is also a Jury member, who has participated in JIFF twice. The jury has two big names from the Indian Film Industry as well including veteran screenplay writer and teacher Anjum Rajabali. He has written films like Drohkaal [1994], Ghulam [1998], The Legend of Bhagat Singh [2002], Toofan (2021), Satyagraha (2013), Chakravyuh (2012), Aarakshan (2011), Raajneeti (2010), Apaharan (2005). He’s known for advocating for the rights of Indian scriptwriters.

Shaji N Karun is an Indian film director and cinematographer, who would be the Chairperson of this jury. His debut film Piravi [1988] won the Caméra d'Or – Mention d'honneur at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival.
